RRR still lobbying for Narasapuram seat?

It appears sitting Narasapuram MP Kanumuru Raghu Ramakrishna Raju is still lobbying to get the ticket from National Democratic Alliance partners in Andhra Pradesh for contesting the upcoming parliament elections from the same constituency.

Though the Bharatiya Janata Party, which got the Narasapuram seat from the Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena Party combine as part of the alliance, has named its state secretary Bhupatiraju Srinivasa Varma for the seat, Raju has still not lost the hope.

Raju, who  came to his house in his native village of Pedaamiram village of Kalla mandal in West Godavari district on Friday, told local reporters that he was getting to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Narasapuram again.

“I will be in the race for Lok Sabha elections on behalf of the NDA. I am confident that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan will do justice to me,” he said.

Stating that he is not going to contest the assembly elections at any cost, the maverick MP expressed hope that there would be a positive decision on his seat for the Lok Sabha elections in two or three days.

“It is the people’s wish that I should contest from Narasapuram Lok Sabha constituency. I am sure the NDA allies will respect the people’s sentiment,” he added.

Meanwhile, BJP candidate Srinivasa Varma said he had met Raju and sought his support in the Lok Sabha elections from Narasapuram.

“We are good friends and he assured me all the support in the elections,” he said.
