Political Buzz: Price Of Sacrifice Is Rs 10 Cr

The alliance of three parties in Andhra Pradesh is providing money-making opportunities for a few. Members from one party are being given tickets under the guise of another party.

When there is an alliance, due to obligations, some have to make sacrifices. Appeasement with guarantees is common for those who make such sacrifices. MLC, Rajya Sabha, and nominated posts are among the many guaranteed options.

However, those who make sacrifices are playing a shrewd game. Unsure about the outcomes post-election, they are requesting monetary benefits in advance in return for their sacrifice.

Although this is not universally true, in some instances, individuals need to be incentivized with money. Yet, this cost is not falling on the parties' accounts but on those who secure the tickets.

Reports indicate that Rs 10 crores have been paid as compensation to a leader who withdrew at the last minute as a candidate from a constituency.

In many places in Andhra, even those who did not receive the ticket but are cooperating have received compensation.

In this context, there are reports that three crores have been paid to a party leader to support a key politician in a constituency. It is said that these three crores cover the cost of rallying all his followers to support the candidate contesting there.

Nevertheless, it is rumored in political circles that these amounts, whether ten or three crores, are mere peanuts for the candidate mentioned here. Even by spending a hundred crores, his determination to win is strong.
