Jr NTR, who is set to share the screen with Janhvi Kapoor in the upcoming film Devara, mentioned that Janhvi bears a strong resemblance to her mother, the late actor Sridevi.
During a chat hosted by Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga with the cast of Devara, Jr NTR shared his thoughts, saying, "I remember during a look test photoshoot, there was a picture of her sitting on a boat, looking at the camera. She looked so much like Sridevi Garu. In certain angles, she just resembles her. We tried to capture that on camera, but it’s not just in the angles—it’s in her performance, her smile. It brings back memories of Sridevi Garu."
In response, Janhvi said, "It feels strange for me to say this, but I sense that more when I perform and speak in Telugu. I don’t know if that makes sense, but it just felt more like home to me."
Devara features an ensemble cast including Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, and Shine Tom Chacko in pivotal roles.
The film is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, with cinematography by Rathnavelu ISC, production design by Sabu Cyril, and editing by Sreekar Prasad.
Initially envisioned as a standalone movie, Devara has been split into two parts, with the first installment set to release on September 27. After Devara, Jr NTR will be seen alongside Hrithik Roshan in War 2.
