Suriya has become the 'dearest' star for Telugu audiences, and the evidence is clearly seen in today's craze surrounding him at the AMB screens.
While the biggest screen was dedicated to the press meet event of Kanguva with Suriya in attendance, three screen full of fans filled one screen, with suffocating atmosphere between four walls.
Above that, there were about 2,000 people waiting outside for a glimpse of Suriya.
Seeing such an unimaginable crowd, many film buffs and even a few media representatives began to feared about the possibility of a stampede and walked away with a lot of effort. Some felt claustrophobic as well.
This overwhelming craze for Suriya speaks volumes about the expectations for Kanguva, which is poised for a spectacular opening across Telangana and both Telugu states.
Suriya became emotional looking at the massive crowd gathered to see him. He took selfies with fans and spent time with them, displaying remarkable humility.
Suriya expressed, "We share the same blood; we are united as one. Your love touches me profoundly. Although it's been two years since my last theatrical release, I was genuinely moved by the response to the re-release of Surya Son of Krishnan."
He continued, "I worked in Kanguva as a way to offer you an extraordinary cinematic experience, as a gesture of appreciation for your unwavering support. It took us two and a half years to make a film that is truly unique, made possible by director Siva’s dedication. I cherished every moment spent filming this project."
He concluded, "This isn’t merely a story about a warrior; it’s about a warrior who stands up for his people and the values he holds dear. You are all warriors in my life, and I urge you to embody that spirit in your own journeys, pursuing your dreams and reaching new heights."
Anticipation for the movie continues to rise steadily. Suriya and Disha Patani play the lead roles, while the film is directed by Siva.
Notably, Bollywood actor Bobby Deol will also feature prominently in the cast.
Centered around a past-life theme, Kanguva stands as the most expensive project in Suriya’s career to date.
