Another Testing Time For Chaganti KoteswaraRao

Chaganti Koteswara Rao is one of the most revered figures among devout Hindus in the Telugu states.

His teachings and discourses are widely followed with respect, attracting a massive and diverse audience from various communities and political backgrounds.

He deserves all honor and respect, yet he consistently declines such accolades.

Chaganti Koteswara Rao is unique in that he accepts no payment for his teachings. Readmore!

Despite receiving frequent invitations from Telugu associations abroad, he has never traveled internationally. His teachings inspire people across all age groups.

During Chandrababu Naidu’s tenure, he was offered an official position, but he declined, stating that he was content with his pension as a retired FCI employee.

Similarly, under Jagan Mohan Reddy’s administration, he was offered the role of TTD Advisor, which he also declined, fully aware of the challenges it entailed.

Recently, his name has resurfaced as Chandrababu Naidu is reportedly considering offering him a cabinet-level position as an advisor for the State's Morals and Values.

However, if Chaganti accepts this role, it could prove counterproductive.

Political involvement in areas of morals and values could expose him to unnecessary criticism, including scrutiny over the language and behavior of MLAs and ministers, potentially disturbing his peace rather than adding to it.

For most, holding a cabinet position, using an official vehicle, and enjoying the privileges of power would be appealing. However, Chaganti Koteswara Rao remains detached from such material pursuits, finding little joy in them.

Additionally, the role of an advisor may lack substance, and the associated salary could seem superfluous for someone like him.

In the past, he would have sought guidance from his guru, Shri Mallampalli Amareshwar Rao Garu, who has since passed away.

Now, it is up to Chaganti to decide whether to accept this offer, perhaps considering what his guru would have advised in this situation.
