The film has reportedly earned between 22-23.5 crore on day one, securing a spot in the top 5 Tamil openers of 2024 but falling short of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2, which debuted at 26 crore.
Directed by Siva, Kanguva did surpass the opening day collection of Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran, which launched as a Diwali release amidst tough competition from Lucky Bashkhar and KA.
