The release of latest block-buster film of Allu Arjun – Pushpa 2: The Rule is understood to have widened the rift between the family of megastar Chiranjeevi and his brother-in-law Allu Arvind.
According to reports coming from the sources close to the Mega family, Chiranjeevi is understood to have expressed his deep anguish over certain dialogues incorporated in Pushpa sequel, apparently targeted at him and his brothers.
The megastar is learnt to have expressed his resentment with Pushpa-2 director Sukumar, who had met him a couple of days ago along with his team as a goodwill gesture and to seek his blessings.
Chiranjeevi reportedly felt that the dialogues were deliberately added in the film only to project Allu Arjun above the Mega family, which had given him the lift in his career in his initial days.
“Going by the way the megastar responded, it appears the rift between the two families has widened beyond any scope for bridging,” sources said.
Analysts say while Allu Arjun is fully justified in trying to emerge out of the shadow of the Mega family and develop his own independent image and brand in Tollywood, there is no need for him to rub the megastar or his brothers on wrong shoulders.
“There is nothing wrong if he maintains good relations with the Mega family and give them due respect. After all, after the era of Tollywood stalwarts – NTR and ANR – came to an end, it is Chiranjeevi who has been like a big brother for the industry,” an analyst said.
However, Allu Arjun has his own reasons that are not known to many. Some sources close to him say that he was once insulted by a mega hero a long time ago, which he kept in his mind and aimed to grow bigger than him independently.
Others say that it is not just that episode, but a rift has developed due to issues involving ladies within the two families, which has strained the relationship between the Mega family and Allu Arjun.
