Botsa's Successor Is Ready To Lead

Cheepurupalli constituency in Vizianagaram district has long been a stronghold for the Botsa family.

Botsa Satyanarayana worked tirelessly to wrest this constituency from the TDP, which had previously enjoyed uncontested victories, and bring it into the Congress fold.

Winning as an MLA in 2004, Botsa joined the YSR cabinet and retained his seat in 2009. Even during the Congress's decline after the bifurcation in 2014, Botsa demonstrated his influence, securing 42,000 votes in Cheepurupalli.

Re-elected in 2019, Botsa served as a minister in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government for five years. Though defeated in the 2024 elections, Botsa appears to have passed the torch to his son, Sandeep. Readmore!

Reports suggest Sandeep is preparing to contest from Cheepurupalli in 2029.

He has been actively engaging with YSRCP workers and addressing public issues to strengthen his presence in the constituency. 

Party leadership is reportedly supportive of Sandeep’s candidacy, signaling a smooth transition within the Botsa family legacy.
