2024: Unexpected Flops That Shocked Heroes

Tollywood continues to see more flops than hits, with a success rate of only 5-6 percent. This trend persisted in 2024, starting with shocking disappointments from Sankranthi.

"Guntur Karam," despite high expectations, failed to impress, and its producer's claim of profit raised doubts about its success, and it became debatable.

Similarly, "Saindhav," released around the same time, was a disaster, especially considering it was a milestone 75th film of Daggubati Venkatesh.

The surprises didn’t end there. Ravi Teja’s Eagle flopped badly, failing to last a week in theaters. His next, Mr. Bachchan, was also a massive disaster.  Readmore!

Varun Tej faced two flops this year- Operation Valentine and Matka

Gopichand also suffered with Bheema and Vishwam, both big failures despite initial hype.

Vijay Deverakonda’s The Family Star, expected to be a hit, turned into a major disappointment, earning widespread trolling.

Vishwak Sen’s films, Gami (just a break-even), Gangs of Godavari, and Mechanic Rocky were also disappointments.

Not only them, but Allari Naresh (Aa Okkati Adakku, Bachchala Malli), Sudheer Babu (Harom Hara, Ma Nanna Super Hero), and Sree Vishnu (Oh Bheem Bush, Swag) also gave two flops this year. Raj Tarun, on the other hand, delivered a hat-trick of flops.

Double iSmart is also among the biggest flops of 2024. After iSmart Shankar became a hit, many pinned their hopes on the sequel, Double iSmart. Not just the public, but even the team had high expectations. However, Double iSmart turned out to be a double disaster.

That said, there are more flops this year. Yatra 2 (Jeeva), Aa Okkati Adakku (Allari Naresh), Pratinidhi 2 (Nara Rohit), Bhaje Vayuvegam (Karthikeya), Maname (Sharwanand), and Darling (Priyadarshi) also appear on the list. As for the short films, let's discuss them next.

We have to see what is in store for 2025 for the above heroes.
