Now, Jana Sena pitches for Pawan as CM

Even as the demand from the rank and file of the Telugu Desam Party for making party general secretary Nara Lokesh as the deputy chief minister is gaining ground, the Jana Sena Party leaders have begun a counter to this campaign by raising the pitch for declaring party president Pawan Kalyan as future chief minister.

Though the TDP leadership issued a directive to the party leaders not to talk about Lokesh’s elevation as deputy CM or future CM, the social media platforms are being abuzz with such demands from the TDP supporters.

As if to counter this campaign, a Jana Sena Party leader created a stir on social media by declaring Pawan Kalyan as the "future Chief Minister."

He also claimed to have received information from reliable sources in Delhi supporting this. Readmore!

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is currently positioned as the sole Deputy CM in the state.

However, Sampath Naik, the Jana Sena in-charge for Waira constituency in Khammam district and president of Osmania University Joint Action committee, revealed that Pawan Kalyan is expected to become the Chief Minister within a few months.

Sampath Naik shared this on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), stating, "According to credible sources in Delhi, Pawan Kalyan garu will become the CM in a few months."

This tweet has sparked widespread discussion.

Sampath Naik followed up with another controversial tweet, questioning, "Can’t a leader from another caste become the Chief Minister? Why can’t the majority of people choose the right leader?"

Through this, he indirectly suggested that Pawan Kalyan deserves the CM position while criticizing caste-based politics in the state.

Currently, TDP leaders are actively demanding that Nara Lokesh be appointed as Deputy CM.

In response, Jana Sena leaders are countering these demands by insisting that Pawan Kalyan should be made the CM.

Though the TDP has put a temporary stop to the campaign for Lokesh as Deputy CM, the ongoing debates suggest that Jana Sena may not back down quietly.

The tweet by Sampath Naik has added a new dimension to the already heated political scenario in the region.
