Brahmani pays my credit card bills: Lokesh

Telugu Desam Party general secretary and Andhra Pradesh IT minister Nara Lokesh made an interesting revelation about his wife, Nara Brahmani, on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

During an interaction at India Today’s annual conclave in Delhi, Lokesh shared that Brahmani handles all his expenses, including managing household finances and even paying his credit card bills.

“She manages the entire household finances while maintaining a perfect work-life balance. She even pays my credit card bills,” he said.

Lokesh described both himself and Brahmani as second-generation entrepreneurs, but credited his father, N Chandrababu Naidu, as the true entrepreneur in the family. Readmore!

“He started a dairy company in the ‘90s, which has now grown into a listed company with a market cap of nearly ₹4,500 crore. Now, my wife Brahmani serves as the executive director, overseeing its daily operations,” Lokesh said.

Admitting that he has much to learn from Brahmani, Lokesh praised her ability to balance both work and family.

“Something I should learn from my wife is work-life balance. She does it far better than I ever could. She takes care of business, our family, and even me,” he joked.

Lokesh humorously acknowledged that Brahmani not only looks after their son, Devaansh, but also him.

“She takes full responsibility for our son, Devaansh, and of course, she has another son—me. She is always calling me in the evening, reminding me to take care of my health and manage things properly,” he added.

Highlighting the important role women play in balancing professional and personal commitments, Lokesh stated: “I believe women manage work-life balance much better than men. And I don’t think Women’s Day should be celebrated just once a year—it should be celebrated every day.”
