Salman Struggles, Mohanlal Dominates the BO

Chiyaan Vikram’s Veera Dheera Soora Part 2 has had a slow start at the box office.

According to early reports, the film has sold advance tickets worth just ₹2 crore gross for its opening day (excluding blocked seats).

With only a few hours remaining, pre-sales are expected to close below ₹4 crore, making it Vikram’s weakest post-pandemic opener.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s Sikandar is also facing challenges in advance bookings. As of 12 PM IST, the action thriller has registered ₹2.70 crore gross in advance ticket sales across India. Readmore!

Despite being allotted nearly 7,300 shows, with final show counts expected to exceed 15,000, the film is significantly underperforming compared to Tiger 3, which had an opening-day advance booking of ₹23 crore gross — a sharp 88.26% drop.

In contrast, Mohanlal’s L2 and Mad Square are enjoying strong openings. L2 is particularly denting Sikandar’s business.

Meanwhile, Nithiin’s Robinhood has opened to an good response globally but is facing stiff competition from Mad 2.

Will these films gain momentum over the weekend? Stay tuned for more updates!
