Salman Khan’s much-anticipated action drama Sikandar hit the screens today, but unfortunately, it failed to impress.
Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film turned out to be a dull and outdated affair with a lifeless screenplay and uninspired execution.
Though the storyline may have had emotional depth on paper, its on-screen presentation feels bland and predictable.
The film appears to be a rehash of several past action dramas, lacking any sense of novelty.
Adding to the disappointment, the background score is completely out of sync, further diminishing the impact of crucial scenes.
Even Salman’s die-hard fans had low expectations after the unimpressive trailer, and the final product only confirmed their fears. Apart from a few decent action sequences, Sikandar offers nothing engaging.
Rashmika Mandanna, who was riding high with hits like Pushpa, Animal, and Chaava, now faces a setback with this pan-India flop.
With overwhelmingly negative reviews pouring in, Sikandar seems destined for a short and forgettable run at the box office.
