Recent reports claimed that Allu Arjun made history in the Indian film industry by securing a staggering â¹175 crore as his remuneration.
However, this raised eyebrows, especially since his own team had previously stated that he was paid â¹250 crore for Pushpa 2.
Upon investigation, GreatAndhra.com found that these media reports are not entirely accurate.
Rather than receiving a fixed salary, Allu Arjun opted for a profit-sharing model in Pushpa 2, particularly after the film landed a record-breaking OTT deal.
As a result, while his total earnings exceeded â¹200 crore, his actual upfront remuneration was significantly lower. His income was a combination of a base salary and a substantial stake in the film’s overall business.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Allu Arjun initially quoted â¹300 crore for his next project, which will be directed by Atlee.
However, Sun Pictures — known for processing payments strictly through official channels like cheques and online transfers — was hesitant to agree to such a high amount. Handling such a large "white" payment could have posed logistical challenges.
Eventually, Allu Arjun reportedly agreed to a â¹175 crore remuneration, along with a partial stake in the film’s business profits — calculated after deducting production costs.
