Senior YSRCP Leader's Silence Sparks Speculation

In political circles, there's growing speculation about whether senior YSRCP leader and former minister Dharmana Prasada Rao has quietly distanced himself from the party.

Once considered a key figure in the YSRCP, particularly in Srikakulam district, his silence and absence from party activities over the past year have raised eyebrows.

Despite the party's intention to continue utilizing his experience, Dharmana has reportedly remained inactive.

Party insiders say he is still officially with the YSRCP but has taken a "wait and watch" approach, choosing silence over engagement. Readmore!

Sources say the party leadership has sent signals from the central office, urging Dharmana to become more active. However, there’s been no response from him so far.

Even when the party asked for his recommendation to appoint someone as in-charge of the Srikakulam district, there was no reaction. Frustrated by his indifference, YSRCP leaders now believe it's time to look for a replacement.

It appears the party has already started moving on.

A recent list of Political Affairs Committee (PAC) members released by YSRCP notably excluded Dharmana’s name, while another senior leader from Srikakulam, Tammineni Sitaram, was included.

This omission has led to strong speculation that the party no longer sees Dharmana as part of its future plans.

Insiders say the ball is now in Dharmana’s court.

With talks of appointing a new in-charge for Srikakulam soon, speculation is rife about whether Dharmana will stay in the YSRCP or move towards the ruling alliance.

The time for a decision appears to be drawing near.
