When it comes to SS Rajamouli, grandeur is a given — and his next film with Mahesh Babu, tentatively titled SSMB29, is no exception.
According to GreatAndhra, the director is orchestrating what’s being described as “one of the most ambitious action sequences attempted in Indian cinema,” set aboard a boat and featuring fire, water, and large-scale chaos.
Sources reveal that Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran will begin intensive action prep and physical training by the end of this month, along with nearly 3,000 crew members.
The high-stakes sequence is set to be shot in Hyderabad across May and June, with action choreography designed to match international standards.
“Priyanka will film her portions first, followed by Mahesh, and Prithviraj will wrap his scenes before starting Daayra with Kareena Kapoor Khan,” says a source.
The cast won’t necessarily shoot together, with the sequence being planned in modular fashion.
Rajamouli has reportedly roped in international stunt coordinators for this massive set piece, which aligns with the film’s mythological roots.
As always, with Rajamouli at the helm, expectations are sky-high.
