That aside, had the makers of Vishwambhara chosen to buy the rights to this Kolatam song and rework it with an updated orchestra and professional singer, the song could have become a massive hit, with Chiranjeevi effect, as people had already connected with it.
Generally, buying popular private songs and reworking them is a trend that has worked well for both creators and buyers.
For example, in MAD2, the song "Jama Chettuki Kastayi Jamakayalu" was also bought and reworked in a similar way, instantly catching attention.
Had Chiranjeevi danced to "Raghukula Tilaka Raaraa" with an updated orchestra and the right singer, the audience would have been hooked. However, Vishwambhara missed that opportunity.
