Shruti Haasan has always been candid about her relationships, choosing not to shy away from discussing them publicly — even during breakups.
In a recent conversation with Filmfare, Shruti addressed people who often ask her, "Which number boyfriend is this?"
When asked if she has any regrets in life, Shruti said, "I have hurt some people, and I wish I hadn't. Everything else, I have zero regrets. I’m like, okay, I was a clown, it’s fine. But there were a few people who were very valuable to me, and I hurt them unintentionally. Now, I spend my time apologizing for that."
Speaking about her relationships, breakups, and heartbreaks, Shruti admitted she wished she "wasn't so influenced" by them.
"We all have that one dangerous ex. Other than that, I close each chapter without regrets. That's why when people ask, 'Which number boyfriend is this?', they don't realize — for them, it’s just a number, but for me, it’s the number of times I failed to find the love I wanted. I don’t feel bad about it... but a little, of course. I'm human," Shruti shared.
She further added that she has been "loyal" and "good" in her relationships and emphasized that if she chose not to be with someone, she didn’t "owe anyone an explanation."
Shruti also confessed that she doesn’t blame her partners when relationships drift apart.
On the work front, Shruti was last seen in Veera Simha Reddy, Waltair Veerayya, The Eye, Hi Nanna, and Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (all released in 2023). She is currently filming for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming project, Coolie.
