Harsh Goenka, Chairman of RPG Enterprises, recently shared a thought-provoking post on X, highlighting the consistent and selfless presence of the Indian Army in times of crisis.
He tweeted, "Flood? Army. Earthquake? Army. Terror attack? Army. Child in borewell? Army. Riots? Army. But for ribbon cutting? Actors & politicians. Whether it's war or weather, the Indian Army always shows up. Maybe it's time we invite them to the celebrations too."
In his tweet, Goenka emphasized the vital role the Army plays, not only in war but also in handling natural disasters, terror attacks, and emergencies like saving children from borewells.
Yet, he pointed out the paradox where, despite their crucial contributions, the Army is often absent from celebratory events, with politicians and celebrities taking the spotlight during ribbon-cutting ceremonies.
Goenka’s message urges a reconsideration of how we honor our heroes, suggesting that perhaps it’s time to invite the Indian Army to the celebrations too, recognizing their constant dedication to the nation.
