Veteran producer A M Ratnam is working round the clock — 20 hours a day — to release Hari Hara Veera Mallu. Despite his age and lack of support, he’s pushing forward with sheer determination.
The film, directed by Krish and featuring music by Keeravani, stars Pawan Kalyan and Nidhi Agarwal. It’s a grand mix of folk and historical genres. Expectations were high, and buyers once lined up eagerly.
But things didn’t go as planned. Krish left halfway, and the script changed multiple times. Years of delays followed. Still, Ratnam and his son didn’t give up. They faced financial pressures, production troubles, and uncertainty — but kept going.
Now, only a few days remain. The trailer isn’t ready. Overseas copies must be sent. Second-half CG work is pending. There’s no time to rework anything. Buyers, seeing the struggle and lack of future films from Ratnam, are quoting very low rates.
He can’t agree, but also can’t afford to wait. Financiers, especially corporate ones from Mumbai, are demanding full repayment before release. OTT money won’t arrive soon enough.
In such a tough situation, most would’ve walked away. But not A M Ratnam. Despite losses, delays, and doubts, he’s moving forward with grit and hope. He truly deserves a success story after all this effort.
