In the film Thammudu, each of the three heroines showcased a unique talent they had specially trained for.
For instance, Varsha Bollamma learned kickboxing, while Saptami Gowda took horseback riding lessons for her role.
But it was Swasika Vijay who took on a particularly bold challenge — she learned to smoke cigars for her character.
Speaking about her preparation, she revealed: "The director asked me to learn how to smoke. I practiced every day, morning and evening. I even smoked in front of my mother after explaining that it was part of the job. These were real cigars. Throughout the shoot, I had to smoke, which caused vomiting and headaches. I couldn’t bear the smell."
According to Swasika, she appears smoking in nearly every scene except five in the entire film.
The director, Srikanth Venu, reportedly gave each heroine a distinct mannerism to portray. Thammudu stars Nithiin, with actress Laya playing his sister.
