The Telugu devotional drama Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu, is seeing a sharp decline at the box office after a promising start.
The film is now facing stiff competition from new South Indian releases.
As per Sacnilk, Kannappa earned â¹16 lakh on its 12th day, marking a 27% drop from the â¹22 lakh it collected the previous day.
The film’s total Indian net collection now stands at â¹32.31 crore, while its gross collection — including Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi versions — has reached â¹38.12 crore.
Reportedly made on a massive budget of â¹200 crore, the film has so far recovered only 16.15% of its costs, with a deficit estimated at â¹167.69 crore.
Despite high-profile cameos by stars like Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Mohanlal — expected to boost audience turnout — the film appears to be underperforming due to strong competition from other releases and mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike.
