Is She Really Hiking Her Fee by a Crore Per Film?

Janhvi Kapoor may not be getting significant offers in Bollywood these days. Despite enjoying decent popularity in the Hindi belt, she hasn't delivered any major box office hits.

But in the South, the story is quite different. She’s on a roll — reportedly increasing her remuneration by ₹1 crore per film.

Janhvi made her South Indian debut with Devara. Being the daughter of legendary actress Sridevi helped her secure a ₹5 crore paycheck for her very first film in Telugu. Now, for her next project, she has allegedly hiked her fee to ₹6 crore.

She is currently acting alongside Ram Charan in RC16, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. Rumor has it that Janhvi was paid ₹6 crore for this film. And now, for her upcoming project, she’s said to be demanding another crore more. Readmore!

Talks are reportedly underway to cast Janhvi Kapoor opposite Allu Arjun in his upcoming film with director Atlee. However, discussions have hit a roadblock — mainly over her remuneration.

With both Atlee and Allu Arjun already commanding hefty fees, the film’s budget is said to be soaring.

To add to the financial strain, reports suggest that Deepika Padukone, the film’s primary heroine, is being paid around ₹22 crore.

In such a scenario, if other actresses also start hiking their fees, it could create major budget concerns. That's why negotiations with Janhvi are still ongoing.

But one thing is clear: Janhvi has no intention of backing down on her price.
