Hindupur MLA and Tollywood actor Nandamuri Balakrishna is currently enjoying the peak of his career.
He recently won as an MLA for the third time and is earning more than ever, both as an actor, talk show host, and brand ambassador.
His daughter Tejaswini has also become actively involved in his film career as a co-producer and presenter.
Yet, Balakrishna feels this isn’t enough — he wants to earn even more.
Until six years ago, his remuneration was around Rs 10 crore. In recent years, it has risen significantly, and he now charges over Rs 40 crore per film. However, he typically does only one film per year.
In a recent interaction with producers, Balakrishna dropped a bombshell: he expressed interest in acting in four films a year and urged producers to come up with suitable projects.
In other words, he asked them to be ready to pay him Rs 40 crore per film. If this plan materializes, he could potentially earn Rs 160 crore annually from acting alone.
However, in today’s scenario, even top stars find it challenging to do more than one or two films a year.
Actors like Nani, who once managed two films a year, have now scaled back to just one. For Balakrishna, doing four films in a year may be an ambitious goal.
