Anil Ravipudi has built a reputation for wrapping up films at lightning speed - usually within six to seven months.
Unlike most Tollywood directors, who often take over a year and a half even for films with minimal CG or visual effects, Ravipudi is known for his efficiency.
His latest project, starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, was launched just two months ago.
At the time, the makers confidently announced a Sankranthi 2026 release, and Ravipudi had already completed nearly 50 percent of the shoot.
However, the ongoing cine workers’ strike has thrown production schedules across the industry into disarray.
While a few producers have managed to continue filming by paying premium wages, most projects - including Ravipudi’s - have come to a standstill.
The big question now is whether he can still stick to his trademark schedule and deliver the film on time. Despite the hurdles, Ravipudi remains optimistic about meeting the Sankranthi deadline.
The yet-to-be-titled film features Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara in the lead roles, with Catherine Tresa as the other female lead. Venkatesh will be seen in a special guest role.
