Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan appears to be turning his focus towards Visakhapatnam.
Known as the gateway to North Andhra, Vizag has become crucial for the party after its strong performance in the 2024 elections.
Of the six Assembly seats Jana Sena won in the North Andhra districts, four came from the undivided Visakhapatnam district. Overall, the party controls six of the 34 seats in North Andhra - about 18%.
After the twin Godavari districts, North Andhra gave Jana Sena its strongest support.
With this in mind, the party has chosen Visakhapatnam as the venue for its first massive post-election public meeting.
Scheduled for the 30th of this month, the meeting will bring together large numbers of party workers.
The agenda is to hear grassroots feedback directly - understanding the issues faced by cadres and assessing the party’s ground situation.
Since coming to power, Jana Sena has not held such a large-scale internal gathering, which has reportedly caused dissatisfaction within sections of the party.
This meeting is seen as a step to address those concerns, reassure workers, and prepare the organization for upcoming local body elections.
Sources say Pawan is likely to promise opportunities to those who did not receive nominated posts, indicating a plan to further strengthen the party’s base.
Party leaders believe that while attention often drifts once a party enters government, Jana Sena is trying to stay vigilant - beginning its organizational push from North Andhra.
