Bigg Boss Telugu 9: A Season Without Buzz

Bigg Boss Telugu 9 has entered with hardly any excitement. Unlike earlier seasons that at least created some curiosity, this edition seems flat from the start.

The creative team, in an attempt to revive the format, has leaned heavily on commoners, but poor selection has only weakened the show further.

The so called judges like Navdeep, Sreemukhi, Abhijeet and others are pushing bizarre tasks that appear more irritating than entertaining.

The “mask task” with Harish is the best example; a contestant forced to stay masked throughout the season, dominating housemates, speaking crudely and even mocking fellow contestants. Readmore!

His arrogance in front of host Nagarjuna showed how ill suited he is for a reality show. Viewers naturally question who selected such characters.

Other commoners too fail to impress, with only Srija Dammu showing some promise. Among celebrities, Suman Shetty and Bharani hardly make a mark, while Shrasti Varma appears controversial without substance.

Tanuja, Immu and Ramu Rathod are comparatively better, but their restrained presence isn’t enough to lift the show. Sanjana’s overaction is being deliberately encouraged by the makers for drama.

Even host Nagarjuna, usually the saving grace, looks visibly strained trying to handle unruly contestants.

Overall, poor contestant choices and dull content have left Bigg Boss 9 with no buzz. Unless the team course-corrects soon, this season risks becoming the weakest of the franchise.
