Monday Test: Considerable Drop for Mirai in Hindi Market

Teja Sajja became the only Telugu star after Prabhas, Allu Arjun, NTR, and Ram Charan to achieve a ₹10 crore-plus opening weekend in the Hindi market.

While films of Prabhas and Allu Arjun typically collect between ₹50 to 100 crore in their first weekend in Hindi, Teja Sajja’s ₹10 crore opening is a significant achievement for a young hero.

However, the performance of his latest superhit “Mirai” failed to meet expectations on Monday, the first working day following the weekend.

Industry estimates suggest it will struggle to cross the ₹1 crore mark by the end of Monday.

For comparison, Teja Sajja’s earlier film “Hanu Man” grossed nearly ₹3 crore on its first Monday after the opening weekend.

While Mirai in Hindi cannot be considered a super hit, it is also not an outright flop — rather, it is somewhere in between, showing moderate performance.
