YCP's Lethargic Response To TDP's Propaganda

The conduct of YCP leadership in this episode once again exposes their lethargy and indifference.

When TDP ministers visited incomplete medical college buildings and launched a smear campaign on social media, YCP leaders failed to respond with the urgency the situation demanded.

Even though complete structures were standing right next to those sites, TDP leaders cleverly avoided showing them in their frames.

This misrepresentation could have been countered immediately, yet YCP leadership allowed two full days to pass without action. Readmore!

Only after Jagan’s press meet did images of the constructed buildings appear on YCP’s social media handles.

In the meantime, the burden of defending the party and countering the propaganda fell squarely on YCP supporters and volunteers online.

They took it upon themselves to highlight the progress and ensure that credit for the medical colleges went to Jagan.

The leadership, however, acted as if it was a non-issue and only began visiting the colleges after the controversy had already faded from public attention.

This indifference raises serious questions like does YCP even have a systematic approach like TDP? Is there a mechanism to generate daily momentum, spread it widely and alert leaders at the grassroots whenever propaganda emerges?

The absence of such a proactive system is glaring. In matters of public relations, YCP continues to stumble.

Instead of strong, timely leadership, it is ordinary volunteers carrying the weight of defending the party’s image; while the leaders remain complacent, slow and detached.
