The team of “OG” has applied for a ticket price hike in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, along with special paid premiere shows in both states. They have set a flat rate of Rs 1000 per ticket for these pre-release paid premieres.
Since Pawan Kalyan himself oversees movie ticket pricing in Andhra Pradesh, granting permission won’t be an issue, especially as the producer is his longtime collaborator, DVV Danayya.
In Telangana, however, the government may not approve midnight shows.
While CM Revanth Reddy is unlikely to oppose the price hike, permissions for additional shows and midnight screenings are expected to face objections.
Regardless, the pre-release paid premiere shows will have a uniform ticket price of Rs 1000 across all theaters, including single screens and multiplexes.
The Nizam distributors are optimistic about setting new records on the first day, aiming for collections even higher than Pushpa 2.
The official permissions will be granted once the makers submit the censor certificate to the respective state governments.
Meanwhile, “OG” has already generated around $1.7 million from advance ticket sales in North America for premiere shows, indicating massive anticipation for a Pawan Kalyan starrer.
