Akkineni Nagarjuna has been carefully preparing for his 100th movie. Currently referred to as #King100, the milestone project began script work earlier this year and is now ready for launch.
Fans had expected Nagarjuna to announce the film on his birthday (August 29), but he chose not to, as his film Coolie — where he plays a villain — was still running in theaters, and he was focused on launching the ninth season of Bigg Boss Telugu. Now, he is preparing to officially announce the project later this month.
#King100 will be produced under his home banner, Annapurna Studios, and directed by Tamil filmmaker Ra Karthik.
Although Ra Karthik’s debut Tamil film was only an average success, Nagarjuna was impressed by his storytelling style and the script he presented.
It is also expected that Nagarjuna’s sons, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil, will make cameo appearances in the film.
