Komatireddy brother denies meeting Jagan

Rebellious Congress MLA from Munugode assembly constituency in Telangana’s Nalgonda district Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy on Thursday strongly denied the rumours being floated in social media about his possible meeting with YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Rajagopal Reddy s expressed strong anger, alleging that a fake publication imitating “Andhra Jyothi” daily was being used to damage his image.

The publication allegedly quoted the Congress MLA as saying that there was no corruption in Kaleshwaram project.

“These are words I never said,” he told reporters. Readmore!

He clarified that he had in fact raised corruption issues in the Kaleshwaram project during the assembly session.

He alleged that such speculations are being carried on the ground that he was unhappy with chief minister A Revanth Reddy for not giving him a ministerial berth.

“I strongly condemn the false reports and lies being spread about me. I have been elected once as MP, once as MLC, and twice as MLA on behalf of the Congress. I have great respect for Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. My family background is rooted in the Congress party,” he clarified.

Yet, some publications are writing false reports saying he was resigning from the Congress, switching parties, or floating a new party.

“Some vested interests are spreading baseless propaganda on social media to tarnish my image,” he said.

Rajgopal Reddy further remarked that there were suspicions that some had altered the RRR alignment in their own favour. He said his view was that fair compensation should be given to displaced people.

He also dismissed rumours that he was going to meet former Andhra CM Jagan Mohan Reddy while traveling to Guntur for a private program.

“From Guntur, I am heading to Vijayawada to visit the Goddess. That is all. These are just rumours being spread,” he clarified.

“My political future will be revealed by me in a press conference. Until then, do not believe such false campaigns,” Rajgopal Reddy asserted.
