These days, big movie trailers usually arrive at least 10 days before release — sometimes even two weeks in advance. But in the case of OG, the trailer is being released unusually late.
The makers have announced that the OG trailer will be launched just four days before the film’s release, a move that hasn’t gone down well with Pawan Kalyan’s fans.
Many are questioning why it isn’t being released at least a week earlier.
The current trend is to release one trailer about 10 days before release, followed by another final cut one or two days ahead of the big day.
Instead, the makers are planning to launch just one theatrical trailer only four days prior. Reports suggest this is to avoid releasing multiple trailers.
Interestingly, music director Thaman himself revealed that the trailer for OG was ready long ago. If needed, the team could have even prepared an additional “release trailer” during this gap — but the makers chose not to.
Another theory making rounds is that Pawan Kalyan, who initially promised to participate in promotions, is no longer available to promote the film.
Unlike Hari Hara Veera Mallu, he is said to be keeping away from promotional events this time.
To compensate for his absence, the makers might be strategically releasing the trailer at the last minute to maximize buzz and impact.
