Kartikeya Gummakonda shot to fame with “RX100,” a runaway blockbuster that created a sensation.
At the time, it seemed he was poised to become one of Tollywood’s leading young stars, and he received several promising offers. However, none of them matched the success of RX100.
He later experimented with negative roles, playing the villain in Nani’s Gang Leader and Ajith’s Tamil film Valimai. Unfortunately, these films too did little to boost his career.
Following the failure of last year’s Bhaje Vayu Vegam, Kartikeya decided to take a break from acting.
Amidst speculation about his career, the actor resurfaced today on social media to thank fans for their birthday wishes.
He hinted that his comeback project is in the works and urged his fans to be patient for a little longer.
Sharing an update, Kartikeya wrote: “And for everyone, including me, who is waiting for the update of my next, all I can say for now is… WORK IS VERY MUCH IN PROGRESS!!"
