While there is huge hype and hoopla around OG in Telugu film circles, the Bollywood media seems intent on tearing it down mercilessly.
A popular Bollywood outlet, Koimoi, in its review wrote: "The Telugu trailer might have impressed the fans, but the Hindi trailer of They Call Him OG is just another unnecessary South Indian film starring Pawan Kalyan, arriving in North India in Hindi under the guise of a pan-India film, joining the wave for no reason!"
The review critic further commented, "In the last few years, every other South Indian film is being labeled a pan-India film. I think it’s high time we call this out and stop this dump being passed off as pan-India content. The latest to join the lot is Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film They Call Him OG."
This seems like a deliberate attempt to undermine a Telugu film that is showing its box office might. Bollywood, often trailing behind South Indian cinema, appears envious of these blockbusters proving their dominance at the ticket counter.
The film OG is hitting screens worldwide shortly with its premiers.
