The "Digital Book" unveiled by YSR Congress party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday, as a counter to “Red Book” of Telugu Desam Party general secretary Nara Lokesh has become the topic of debate in the political circles.
Jagan’s Digital Book launched on the official party platform is aimed at extending support to the YSRCP workers and leaders who have faced injustice and political victimization.
“Through this initiative, anyone can directly upload details of the injustice they have faced, ensuring that every incident is recorded and preserved in a permanent digital diary. In addition to the website, an IVRS call facility has been set up through 040-4917171,” Jagan said.
According to sources, the Digital Book has also generated an interesting talk within the YSRCP.
“If Jagan really wants to do justice to the party workers who were ignored and even harassed during the previous YSRCP regime, he should include names of his own party leaders first,” a party worker said.
He was referring to the leaders like Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, K Dhanunjay Reddy, Y V Subba Reddy and V Vijay Sai Reddy, who had misled not only Jagan but also the entire party cadre before the last elections.
“There are at least 20 such leaders who should figure in the Digital Book first. They cheated the party workers and were responsible for the party’s defeat in the elections,” he said.
The party worker also blamed it on Jagan for doing injustice to the genuine party workers.
“He took wrong policy decisions that led to the defeat. If at all he has to write anybody’s name, he should write his own name first,” he added.
