Even as the Balakrishna – Chiranjeevi controversy continues, actress Poonam Kaur stirred up a storm with a tweet praising Nandamuri Balakrishna.
She wrote, “As I’ve always said, Balayya has a child-like enthusiasm. God uses everyone for a special purpose, and that comes to light when the time is right,” while also attaching one of her older tweets.
Her latest post has provoked strong reactions from Mega fans, who slammed her with angry comments.
“What about the mindset of a so-called child who thinks whenever he sees a girl, he should either touch her stomach or plant a kiss? Why don’t you talk about that? Supporting someone who insults women just because of your hatred for others?” one fan commented.
Meanwhile, Balakrishna’s fans came to her defense in the comments section. Mega fans alleged that Poonam was supporting Balayya only out of anger toward Pawan Kalyan and director Trivikram.
This comes at a time when the controversy over Balakrishna’s remarks against Chiranjeevi in the Assembly is still raging.
Though the comments were removed from the official records, Mega fans have been holding meetings in Hyderabad for the past two days, attempting to condemn his remarks.
They even considered filing complaints in 300 police stations, but Chiranjeevi himself asked fans to back down.
Balakrishna’s supporters, however, insist that no matter how much criticism comes his way, their hero will never apologize.
