Tamil music composer-singer GV Prakash Kumar and playback singer Saindhavi have officially divorced after 12 years of marriage.
The Chennai Family Court finalized their separation following a mandatory six-month cooling-off period.
As part of the settlement, Saindhavi will have custody of their daughter, Anvi, while the couple has agreed to co-parent harmoniously.
Their journey began as childhood friends, blossomed into marriage in 2013, and later into parenthood with Anvi’s birth in 2020.
After more than a decade together, the two announced their separation on May 13, 2024.
Interestingly, they continued to share the stage at GV Prakash’s December 2024 concert, even before filing for divorce in March 2025.
Their dignified and respectful approach to the split has earned appreciation from fans, who now look forward to their individual musical contributions in the years ahead.
