Shah Rukh Khan has officially entered the billionaire league. With a career spanning over three decades, Bollywood’s “Badshah” retained the top spot in the Hurun India Rich List 2025, released on October 1.
The annual report by the Hurun Research Institute ranks the wealth of India’s leading celebrities across various industries.
The list notes, “Shah Rukh Khan (59) joins the billionaire club for the first time with a wealth of â¹12,490 crore.” This makes him the wealthiest Bollywood celebrity in 2025.
Juhi Chawla and her family hold the second spot with â¹7,790 crore, followed by Hrithik Roshan at â¹2,160 crore. Karan Johar and Amitabh Bachchan secured the fourth and fifth places respectively.
SRK made his debut on the list in 2024 with an estimated wealth of â¹7,300 crore at the age of 58. His fortune comes not only from films but also from his production house Red Chillies Entertainment and ownership stakes in the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders.
Shah Rukh is also one of India’s most-followed celebrities, with 43.9 million followers on X (formerly Twitter) and 48.6 million on Instagram.
Adding to his achievements, 2025 brought him his first National Award, winning Best Actor for Jawan. The 2023 blockbuster, which earned over â¹1,000 crore at the domestic box office, cemented his position as the king of Bollywood both on and off screen.
