RK's Double Game: Praise Babu, Blame Jagan!

The political doublespeak of Radha Krishna (RK), the head of Andhra Jyothy group, is once again under public scrutiny.

His recent contradictory commentaries on similar welfare and symbolic gestures have sparked widespread criticism, with many calling them nothing short of hypocrisy.

When Jagan Mohan Reddy introduced the Amma Vodi scheme — aimed at providing financial assistance to mothers for their children’s education — RK wrote that such welfare policies would “turn Andhra Pradesh into another Sri Lanka,” implying that the state was headed toward financial collapse due to excessive populism.

But when Chandrababu Naidu recently introduced Thalliki Vandanam scheme, RK hailed it as “an emotional gesture that re-energized the GST revenue spirit” — portraying it as a symbol of leadership and strength. Readmore!

This blatant inconsistency has drawn ridicule from political observers and the public alike.

Many are questioning how the same act of sentiment and social gesture can be condemned as “disastrous populism” when done by one leader, and glorified as “visionary symbolism” when done by another.

Critics say RK’s writings reflect not journalism, but selective political bias — praising those he supports and vilifying those he opposes, regardless of context or logic.

Social media users are mocking this “double standard journalism,” calling it “Shameless hypocrisy!”

In the end, the contrast is too glaring to ignore — Amma Vodi becomes “Sri Lanka syndrome” under Jagan, but a Thalliki Vandanam becomes “GST growth mantra” under Babu.

This kind of two-faced commentary, as people say, is nothing but embarrassing and shameful.
