Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 (Hindi) is on track to emerge as a HIT, with collections showing a solid hold on Monday, dropping only around 25% from Friday’s figures.
The film collected an estimated â¹8.25 crore net on Day 5, taking its Hindi version total to â¹78.25 crore net. With discounted ticket prices on Tuesday, the film is expected to see a healthy jump.
Trade experts predict the first-week total could cross â¹100 crore net, a remarkable feat for a dubbed Kannada release.
While reaching the â¹200 crore milestone may be difficult, Kantara: Chapter 1 (Hindi) is well positioned to end its run near the â¹175 crore mark - an outstanding result considering its scale and competition.
While Kantara 2 may not have matched initial sky-high expectations, its Hindi box-office performance remains impressive for its budget and scale.
The film has also shown exceptional holds across South India, particularly in Mysore and Karnataka, where it continues its massive run.
Across all languages, Kantara: Chapter 1 collected around â¹30 crore net on Monday, marking a drop of under 50% from its opening day.
The film’s all-India total now stands at â¹244 crore net, reaffirming its position as one of the biggest success stories of the year for Hombale Films.
