Sugali Preethi mother thanks YSRCP, curses Pawan

Even as the Andhra Pradesh government headed by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced a CBI probe into the suspicious death of Class 10 girl Sugali Preethi in Kurnool way back in 2017, her mother Parvathi continues to hit the headlines with her controversial allegations.

On Tuesday, Parvathi launched a scathing attack on Jana Sena Party president and deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan, accusing him of betraying his promises to deliver justice in her daughter’s case.

Parvathi said she has been fighting relentlessly for justice for the past eight years but justice continues to elude them.

“I have been waging this battle since 2017 demanding punishment for those who killed my daughter. I even questioned Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan on this issue in Vijayawada. Governments have changed, but our situation has not,” she said. Readmore!

Interestingly, she thanks to YSR Congress party leadership for standing by her in her fight, but cursed Naidu, his son Lokesh and Pawan Kalyan for not giving her any assurance.

“Neither the chief minister nor deputy CM has clarified in the state assembly whether the case has been handed over to the CBI,” she lamented.

Parvathi alleged that while the government boasts about “Super Six” welfare schemes, it has failed to address her grievance.

“Pawan Kalyan said he would raise the matter in the assembly. Did he ever speak about my daughter even once?” she asked angrily.

She further accused Pawan Kalyan of maintaining silence despite facing personal and caste-based allegations from his own party leaders.

“Why is Pawan Kalyan silent? His own leaders made false and humiliating comments against me, my caste, and my family. Even Jana Sena MLA Gade Venkateswarlu made many derogatory remarks about us,” Parvathi said.

Parvathi accused Pawan Kalyan of deceiving her family by making promises before the elections and abandoning them afterward.

“He said he would ensure justice for Sugali Preethi, but after coming to power, he betrayed us. Instead, his leaders began targeting a tribal family with baseless allegations,” she said.

She also demanded that BJP state president P V N Madhav arrange a meeting with her to present her grievances.

“We have already filed a petition in the high court seeking permission to hold a wheelchair yatra as part of our protest,” she revealed.

In an emotionally charged statement, Parvathi invoked a line from Pawan Kalyan’s latest film OG: “Many people are doing many things… but my soul is burning.”

“If Pawan Kalyan truly has a conscience, he should allow my wheelchair yatra,” she demanded.

Parvathi announced her plans to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is scheduled to visit Kurnool on October 16.

“Please help me get an appointment with Modi. If I am not allowed to meet him, I will stage a protest in front of the Collectorate on the 13th, 14th, and 15th. And if I’m prevented from protesting, I’ll go on a hunger strike at home,” she warned.
