Fauji, the upcoming period drama starring Prabhas and directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious projects in Telugu cinema.
Given the scale of the film, its production schedule has been uncertain, and so has its release timeline. But now, there’s finally some clarity — the makers have locked its release for August 2026.
Only 25 days of talkie portions remain to be shot. Prabhas, who is currently in Europe for the song shoot of Raja Saab, will return to join the Fauji sets soon. Once he gives those 25 days, the talkie part will be completed.
The major chunk that remains involves massive action sequences. These aren’t ordinary fights — the scale is grand, and filming alone is expected to take nearly two months.
Meanwhile, Prabhas is also balancing his schedule with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit. He is planning to wrap up Fauji in between Spirit’s shoot schedules to ensure everything stays on track.
Mythri Movie Makers is gearing up to release Fauji in August 2026, around the Dussehra festive season, making it one of the most awaited big-ticket releases of that year.
