Box Office: OG Beats Devara in North America

Pawan Kalyan’s OG opened to a thunderous response at the box office but began to lose momentum earlier than expected.

While it fell short of hitting the massive numbers many had anticipated in India and overseas, the film has achieved a notable feat in North America, where it has officially surpassed Jr NTR’s Devara in the original Telugu version.

The film enjoyed huge pre-release buzz in the North American market, especially among the Telugu diaspora.

Power Star’s fans turned out in large numbers, giving the film a record-breaking premiere and opening day, raking in over $3.6 million on Day 1 alone. Readmore!

According to the latest updates, OG has grossed $5.54 million in 15 days in North America. Of this, the original Telugu version contributed $5.51 million, while the Hindi version brought in $42K. With this figure, OG has narrowly crossed Devara’s Telugu collections of $5.5 million.

However, Jr NTR’s film maintains a clear lead in overall collections across languages. Devara earned $562K from its Hindi version and $15K from Tamil, taking its total to $6.07 million in North America. Given its current slowdown, it’s unlikely OG will surpass Devara’s overall tally.

Directed by Sujeeth, OG marks Pawan Kalyan’s first collaboration with the filmmaker and also stars Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, and Sriya Reddy in key roles.
