In what is being seen as a significant political move, Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who is all set to launch a new political party soon and embark on a state-wide tour next week, seems to have decided to rope her son into action.
Though Kavitha has not made any decision to initiate her son Aditya’s formal entry into politics, the way she introduced him to public political activity during the Telangana Bandh for BC reservations on Saturday indicated that she has some plans to bring him into politics.
Kavitha has been operating independently through her cultural and social organization Telangana Jagruthi after distancing herself from her father K. Chandrashekar Rao’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
At a protest held in Khairatabad demanding BC reservations, Kavitha arrived with her son, who actively participated in the agitation.
Aditya joined Jagruthi members in holding placards and raising slogans, drawing attention for his confident and approachable demeanor during the protest.
Witnesses noted that Aditya mingled freely with the activists, showing no hesitation or stage fear — a quality that observers say reflects a conscious grooming for political life.
Political analysts interpret this as a calculated step by Kavitha to position her family’s next generation in Telangana politics, especially at a time when her relationship with KCR has strained over the direction and leadership of BRS.
Having already rebranded herself as an independent force through Telangana Jagruthi, Kavitha’s move to project Aditya publicly is being viewed as part of a larger plan to build her own political platform.
If current indications are any guide, Kavitha may soon announce her own political party, with Aditya set to play an active role in youth mobilization.
