OG, starring Pawan Kalyan, is set for its OTT debut tomorrow after enjoying a blockbuster theatrical run.
It is the highest-grossing film in the actor’s career. However, a month after its release, a controversy has surfaced.
Kannada filmmaker R. Chandru has alleged that “OG” borrowed heavily from his film “Kabzaa.”
In a recent interview, Chandru said he was “shocked” to see several scenes resembling those from his 2023 Kannada action drama starring Upendra, Kichcha Sudeep, and Shiva Rajkumar.
Chandru claimed that Kabzaa has now become an “inspiration” for other filmmakers.
Interestingly, Kabzaa was a box-office failure, but Chandru maintains that its influence is proof of its success.
“Watch some scenes in OG and compare them with Kabzaa — the similarities are obvious,” he said. “That shows how impactful my film was.”
Neither Sujeeth nor the OG team has responded to Chandru’s claims yet.
