Kohinoor Scrapped After Two back-to-back Flops

Siddhu Jonnalagadda, who once enjoyed immense popularity following the success of the Tillu films, has seen his market dip sharply after delivering two consecutive flops this year.

His recent releases “Jack” and “Telusu Kada” failed to make an impact at the box office, denting his momentum.

Before these setbacks, producer Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments had announced a pan-Indian big-budget film titled “Kohinoor” with Siddhu in the lead.

However, the project has now been put on hold, with reports suggesting that it may have been scrapped altogether. Readmore!

Adding to the challenges, OTT revenues have significantly declined.

Netflix, which had been a consistent buyer of Sithara Entertainments’ films, is reportedly renegotiating older deals and offering lower prices due to the shrinking digital market.

In these circumstances, launching an ambitious project like “Kohinoor” with Siddhu Jonnalagadda poses a major financial risk.

With recent losses already weighing on Sithara Entertainments, Naga Vamsi seems to have decided to pause the project for now.
