Paid premieres have now become a regular trend in Telugu cinema.
Not just big-ticket films, even small movies featuring newcomers are opting for paid preview shows across cities and towns in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Usually, these shows are held late at night on the eve of the release.
However, “Mass Jathara” starring Ravi Teja and “Baahubali Epic” featuring Prabhas are taking things a step further.
Both films are introducing a new trend by starting their paid premieres as early as 5:30 PM, a full day before the official release, with multiple shows lined up thereafter.
“Baahubali Epic” will kick off its first paid premiere at 5:30 PM on October 30 at Hyderabad’s Prasads Multiplex, ahead of its October 31 release. Additional shows are planned for 6:00 PM and 9:30 PM in other theatres.
Similarly, “Mass Jathara” will also begin its paid premieres at 5:30 PM on October 31 across multiple screens, well before its November 1 release. Advance bookings for these early shows are already in full swing.
With this move, both Baahubali Epic and Mass Jathara are setting a new benchmark for Telugu cinema’s paid premiere trend.
