The Ghattamaneni family, led by superstar Mahesh Babu, seems to be growing into another “mega family” of Telugu cinema.
Several members of the legendary Krishna’s family are either already in films or gearing up to enter the industry soon.
Mahesh Babu, of course, reigns at the top as one of Tollywood’s biggest stars. His wife Namrata Shirodkar, once a leading heroine, quit acting after marriage but remains an influential figure in the industry.
Their son Gautham Krishna started as a child actor and is expected to make his full-fledged debut after completing his studies, while daughter Sitara is already creating buzz as a dancer and model.
Mahesh’s sister Manjula has acted in a few films, while her husband has appeared in character roles. Now, their daughter Jaanvi is all set to make her debut as a lead actress, with an official announcement expected soon.
Mahesh’s late brother Ramesh Babu was also a hero. Reports suggest that his son and daughter are preparing to enter films, with his son’s debut film reportedly being directed by Ajay Bhupathi.
Another nephew, Ashok Galla, is already working as a hero, while Mahesh’s brother-in-law Sudheer Babu continues to make his mark in lead roles. There’s also talk that Sudheer’s sons may soon follow in his footsteps.
With so many from the Ghattamaneni clan stepping into cinema, it looks like Tollywood might soon have another “mega family” joining the ranks — right beside the Allu-Konidela and Nandamuri dynasties.
