After roaring back to theatres with massive hype, SS Rajamouli’s re-edited spectacle Baahubali: The Epic witnessed a noticeable dip in collections on its second day.
The film, which combines Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion into a remastered single cut, released in cinemas on October 31 and opened to an excellent response.
According to early estimates from Sacnilk, Baahubali: The Epic earned around â¹7 crore on Saturday (Day 2); a significant drop from its opening day total.
The Prabhas-starrer had collected â¹1.15 crore from paid previews on October 30 and â¹9.65 crore on Day 1, taking its overall domestic total to â¹17.80 crore (including previews).
While the response remained strong in select regions, occupancy rates saw a clear decline.
The film registered 51.31% occupancy in the Telugu states, 12.87% in the Hindi belt, and 33.59% in Tamil Nadu on Saturday.
Baahubali: The Epic is purely a fan celebration cut; a tribute to the monumental success of Rajamouli’s original films that redefined Indian cinema.
Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, and Nassar, the re-release continues to draw nostalgic audiences even as box office numbers cool after the initial frenzy.
